➩ Celebrating Nebraska’s Sesquicentennial with Meadowlark 150!
March 1, 2017
In celebration of Nebraska’s Sesquicentennial (that’s 150 years!) we’re brewing up a 10bbl batch of beer using 100% Nebraska grown hops called ‘Meadowlark 150’ next week and tapping it at both our locations on Wednesday on March 1st!
Some of you may have gotten to try Project Meadowlark at the Nebraska Hop Cup last year; this is a similar version but using this year’s Nebraska hop harvest!
Check out the official description of the beer below.
In an effort to fully & fairly evaluate Nebraska grown hops, we thought it would be wise to brew a beer that we already know inside out. So, we’ve faithfully reproduced our ever-popular Cardinal Pale Ale with hops sourced from Midwest Hop Producers and dubbed this beer “Meadowlark 150”. By comparing Meadowlark 150 and Cardinal Pale Ale we hope to build a better understanding of this hop field’s terroir and inspire new recipes to embrace our local flavor.
Hops: Galena bittering hops & Cascade whirlpool & dry hop (from Midwest Hop Producers)
