Nebraska Brewing Company hosts Barks & Beers to Benefit Area Animal Rescue Groups

La Vista, NE – For the first time ever, Nebraska Brewing Company is inviting dogs to the taproom at 6950 South 108th St. in La Vista! On Sunday, May 31, from 1-3 pm, beer lovers are welcome to bring their four-legged drinking companions to Barks & Beers, a special event co-hosted by Nebraska Brewing Company and dog treat makers Beer Paws.

Barks & Beers will take place in the parking lot of Nebraska Brewing Company’s Tap room facility located in La Vista. Well-behaved dogs are invited and must be kept on a leash & tap room patrons will be able to enjoy their beers outside, with their pets.

Anyone in the market for a new canine drinking buddy is especially welcome. Four area rescue groups and plenty of adoptable dogs will be on hand for Barks & Beers. A raffle will be held, with 100% proceeds benefiting the rescue organizations. Participating rescues are: MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue; Taysia Blue Husky and Malamute Rescue; Bassett and Beagle Rescue of the Heartland; Hands, Hearts & Paws.

Nebraska Brewing Company’s Vice President and Co-Founder Kim Kavulak says, “We are excited to be partnering with another locally owned business that brings together two things people love, Beer and Dogs. We are honored to have the opportunity to help provide rescue animals with their forever home.”

Beer Paws, which partners with Nebraska Brewing Company to make spent grain dog treats, will provide free “Beer Biscuits” to canines. Beer Paws products will also be available for purchase, with a portion of sales benefiting the participating rescues.
